Starting Up the Ladder
by
The holidays are behind us! Didn't think I'd last through it again. My newly formatted pages are up, and so they'll remain for quite a while. I have successfully saved $7000 since I started working, and a good thing too. I plan to buy a new car the end of next year (2005 model), and this is the year that the next generation of computers come out (but not until November) so I've got plenty of time to save. There's nothing I really want (besides a new handheld PDA but I'll leave that for the tax rebate). I foresee many more website jobs over the next few months, and probably a music gig here and there, but I'm still in the building process.
For the first time in 7 years (or 15 semesters) I have decided to not take any classes this time around at Saddleback. They are still offering Calculus III at quite an inconvenient time. Only if I didn't have a job could I commit the time and studying it takes to pass that kind of a course. But I'll worry about that at another time. For the moment, I haven't yet moved up the ladder at work, but I have a feeling that I'll be in "training" mode for most of 2003 as far as the programming goes. I'm still doing what I have done the past few months, but I know as soon as the current basic projects are completed, I'll be digging into the programming! I can't wait to learn about databases! I need that for all the other web sites!
