Let's Try Something Else

Checking in for the Springtime report, as there's a lot goin' down these days.
First off, the trip to Alaska has been postponed for now, as the total for me and my folks exceeded US$8000. Umm, yeah, not doing that. In its place, we've decided to conquer the state of Utah, which will happen in mid-May. We'll be visiting the famous five National Parks in the southern portion of the state, plus a visit to Salt Lake City for the Mormon Tabernacle, and then crossing Nevada to visit Yosemite and Sequoia in Central California. A lot to conquer in 11 days.
I also took a quick weekend trip with my theatre friends to Las Vegas, which was only my 3rd time. Funny enough, I won $100 on the slots in the first 5 minutes, and managed to hold on to it for 24 hours before I gave it all back to the slots, and then some more. Luckily I learned how to play Craps and recouped my losses, so I ended up at a break-even, which was fine with me.
As house prices start dropping in South Cali, my down-payment gets larger, as it now sits at $61K. That's definitely in the 10% down ballpark. I aim to get pre-qualified in the summer, and we'll go from there.
May should bring more updating fun times. See you real soon.
