This update is dedicated to my "older" niece in Texas, since she seems to be the only one on this earth dedicated to reading these things religiously every month...

The trip to Texas was slammin'. Oh how I miss hanging out with the half-siblings on that side. I probably got the worst sunburn of my life, shredded my feet in/around the pool, and killed my lower back falling off the mechanical bull (don't ask) but that wouldn't stop me from going back.

As briefly mentioned last month, I'm currently in the midst of an onslaught of weddings. Four of them in the span of 6 weeks! It doesn't help that I volunteered myself away as Best Man for the second one, which means I actually have responsibilities. Speech? Bachelor party?? *GASP!* Oh well, I asked for it.

Finally I'm preparing for Roadtrip #4, where we're off for 2 weeks to the state of New Mexico to check out the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. It doesn't launch until late September, but I've still got some routes to work out before we embark.

This summer is killing me. Softly. I will survive. (OK I gotta knock off the song quoting...)
