A 2008 Summary
by
Another year blasted its way through. Can you believe it? As we enter into the home stretch and a new season of Winter, it's time to reflect on what's been happening the past year.
It started with a new computer, and extra opportunities to make more money with some of my hours freed up due to quitting my 2nd job. I spent a little more time vacationing this year. Saw a heck of a lot of balloons, and I set foot in Texas three times in 7 months, and who knows if that will ever be on a more permanent basis?
Also saw a plethora of weddings, and there's still a few laggards I'll be attending next year. They just don't stop. Feels kinda funny that I'm not even interested in dating right now, but everyone my age or younger is taking the plunge. Oh well, tis my choice, and I don't regret it! I can be my own boss, haha.
House hunting also was a major play. The good news is the sour economy helped bring prices down, albeit still not quite in my range for the area I want. The bad news is... the sour economy, where uncertainties make me wonder about keeping a home even if I found one. Hmm...
All-in-all, it was mostly a wait-and-see approach this year. I'm anxious for 2009 to bring some changes and hopefully improvements, economical situation notwithstanding.
Take it away, 2009! I'm out.
