All Hail the Mac Pro!
by
The first order of business is by far the most important. The computer I have waited years and decades and centuries for has finally come to be. I'm now the proud owner of an 8-core Mac Pro that was released at the beginning of the year.
This caused me to go on an organizing spree. I have old files dating back to my high school days in the early 90s. I have files from Mac OS 9, Mac OS X, two Powerbook archives, Windows 98, XP, and all files left on floppies and CDs. All in all, it's probably around 300GB of data. (If you don't know how much that is...I'm not gonna bother geeking out trying to explain it.)
I've spent a great deal of time morphing all relevant files to the new computer and deleting the rest. My nights/weekends will pretty much be occupied all this month as I cope with the hordes of memories and nostalgia that accompany this task.
I'll let you know the status for March. Pretty much that is all I have to talk about for now. Lame? Probably. Deal. Hehe.
